The word “breakthrough” is widely used across the world in Churches. I’m pretty sure you’ve commonly heard declarations like “We’re going to see a breakthrough today”, “your breakthrough is on the way”, “He is a God of breakthroughs”, etc. What does it mean? What is a breakthrough? A perfect example is when the Egyptian army was pursuing the Israelites, and there was no further way to run. God broke through the waters and parted the sea so His children could walk through it. There was resistance, but they broke through it because of Moses’ faith and walked over to the other side.
Today, I don’t want to be like the Israelites who happily went across, but I want to be like Moses! He carried this breakthrough anointing of God that caused the people to cross over to the other side that day through the sea. Can we be like him today? What must we do to have it? I’ve always had this desire in me. One day, while waking up, I felt the Lord was teaching me how to walk like Moses.
He said, “Son, the breakthrough is not just in praying but in allowing My Spirit to come through and influence every part of your life. Prayer will certainly open those pores and permeate My will in yours. Howbeit, not at the neglect of allowing My Word to minister to you. Be a student of My Word and let it minister to you personally daily”.
Can we pray intentionally from today? That means while praying, you must be so focused and aware of the Presence of God in you to bring conviction, release His light and truth, and reveal and impress His will in you. In that posture of prayer, start studying His Word, verse by verse, and allow it to work as a rod to guide, comfort, and correct you. This marination will prepare you to be an excellent treat for the people around you. You will become such a powerful carrier of God’s breakthrough in multiple areas of life.
