Faith

I was waiting on the Lord one day and was desperate to encounter Him because it had been so long. I was just consoling myself by being positive about it. I kept saying, “Stanley, now the Holy Spirit will come like boooom and you’ll get your encounter once again”!  After waiting for almost an hour, just sitting idle on my bed, I began to feel stupid. Soon after that, I became so weary and disappointed that I was on the verge of giving up. I was about to say, “oh all this is of no use”, suddenly, I heard, “you ravish My heart” (Song of Songs 4:9). Man! I clearly remember my initial response, which was, “I”? “Lord me”? I said, “Lord You ravish My heart, You… it is You”… And I started weeping like a baby. It was such a powerful moment when I realized His love for us and how patiently He watches us. How closely He walks with us, and right when I thought I’m done and I wanted to give up, He was there! Glory be to God!
