Does God Know That You Love Him? I Once Asked Him….

Have you ever had this question, Hey Lord, do you even know that I love you? Because we keep telling Him we do but never ask Him if He knows it, right? I too once had this question! And I decided to one day ask the Lord Himself. I said, “Lord, do you know I love You”? Now watch what He said! He said, “Yes and I delight in you. Your feelings, emotions, and outbursts awaken Me and minister to Me. I Am in awe of you Stanley. You ravish My heart”. Man, His response always wrecks me! Can you see His heart for you and me? He loves us unconditionally. He loves you and values you above everything else.

This reminds me of another experience that I wanted to share in today’s blog. After a season of multiple encounters with God, there came a point in my life when I would wait and wait and would hear nothing, feel nothing at all. No encounters, no voice, nothing!  It frustrated me. Let me remind you that this was soon after I had started encountering the Lord in various ways. I became so desperate that I kept seeking the Lord and questioning Him why is this happening. Questions like, “Has He left me”, and “Did I hurt or grieve Him” kept bothering me. Little did I know back then that God was working on my character. He was teaching me to remain anchored on His Word and not just on my experiences with Him. There’s so much to learn in seasons like these and now after going through multiple seasons like these, I feel I have much to say about it as well. But all I want to say for now is, don’t give up. Allow the Lord to work in you. These are what I would call ‘dry seasons’ (my personal opinion). But never undermine this season, because again, these are one of the most fruitful seasons of our lives. This is where our character is formed, our faith is tested, and our perseverance is tested. This is not to expose our weaknesses, but to empower us to remain standing in every situation. During one of these days, I remember I was waiting on the Lord and was so desperate to encounter Him because it had been so long. I was just consoling myself by being positive about it. I kept saying, “Stanley, now the Holy Spirit will come like boooom and you’ll get your encounter once again”!  After waiting for almost an hour, just sitting idle on my bed, I began to feel stupid. Soon after that, I became so weary and disappointed that I was on the verge of giving up. I was about to say, “oh all this is of no use”, suddenly, I heard, “you ravish My heart(Song of Songs 4:9). Man! I clearly remember my initial response, which was, “I”? “Lord me”? I said, “Lord You ravish My heart, You… it is You”… And I started weeping like a baby. It was such a powerful moment when I realized His love for us and how patiently He watches us. How closely He walks with us, and right when I thought I’m done and I wanted to give up, He was there! Glory be to God!

So I just wanted to encourage you all today with this blog. Hey remember, don’t give up! Breathe, relax, God is for you, He is for you!
